Shattered the world as a whole the moment a stranger’s


Exiled thoughts of you

To the shore,


Like pulled teeth the tethers of you

Released my heart from

As I watched torment rip its way between the tendons of your

Swelling mind,


You let it fester

My love

The addiction drawing sullied blood from the wound you

Tore anew each night

With your new lover’s greed

For the treasures you had already promised



The slide of skin made silky with your ache’s slow oozing

As you curse me

For the love I bear not for a bright soul

But one renegade of a body,


How gut-wrenching

The taste of despair proves when only the locked arms of

A stranger’s core

Can align our hearts and make them
