ON THE PROWL FOR MEATLESS CARNAGE

When the hunger pangs

Settle in

You flee

From my searching gaze’s

Lustful greed,

But your wisdom

Will never meet

The flash of remorse

In the bulging ores of the

Witless beast

You’ve raised from sleep,

Driving around town

Seems idle

Yet the loneliness of the act

Proves more sating

To a starved mind

Than your contemptuous

Escape

As you curve your swerve

Around the same old edge,

Leave me cold and

Panting

Then brand me cruel

For hibernating in a remote

Abode;

Its comforting walls silken

From a much sweeter

Drug

Than the ricocheting lull

Of your ravenous thighs snaking

Around my heart’s thwarted

Release.
